34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks

Total weight gain: 34 lbs

Maternity clothes? I've actually been wearing a lot of non-maternity dresses. I scored this t-shirt dress from Target, on sale!

Stretch marks? Nothing new, my belly is still clear of stretch marks

Sleep: Okay. I am tossing and turning more, not being able to stay comfortable in the same position for a while. I have also been waking up earlier & earlier. 

Food cravings: nothing specific 

Anything making you queasy or sick: still can't eat mushrooms

Miss anything? a glass of wine, my summer wardrobe, sleeping on my stomach

Gender: girl girl girl

Labor signs: just a few braxton hicks

Have you started to show? Yep!  

Symptoms: lower back pain, frequent bathroom trips, heartburn/indigestion, swollen feet & ankles

Belly Button in or out? still hangin' in there as an innie

Wedding rings on or off? off 

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy 

Best Moment this week?  Hubby talking to Emmah at night before we go to bed  

Looking forward to anything? painting the nursery on FRIDAY! 

Only 6 more weeks until I'm 40 weeks?!

Journal 1

Mike & I both volunteer for an organization called Young Life. 

We love YL, it's ministry and the impact it has on millions of high school kids across the world.  

This past week, my husband went on a camp trip with 5 kids from the local high school, 

giving them the opportunity to hear the gospel. 

While they were there, they decided to keep a journal while reading the bible & sharing it on a group Facebook page whenever they wanted to.  So I decided I would share mine on this blog, because you just never know when someone needs to hear the good news of Jesus.

So here is Journal 1 

Mark 1: 40-42 

The part where Jesus heals the man with leprosy. 

Every time I read this, I am amazed by Jesus.

When someone has leprosy, they have lesions on their body because of bacteria. Everyone stayed away from the person, in fear that they would get it too. So this man was probably shunned from his family, friends & town. (Imagine how you feel when your face is breaking out and you just wanna hide your face!) Then Jesus comes in, the man begs Jesus to heal him, Jesus TOUCHES him and says "Be clean".

I think this says so much about the heart of God and his love for us. Instead of thinking "Ew." or saying "Go away and be clean", Jesus touches him. 

Imagine what He can/will do in our lives, if we let him.

More Baby Showers

I was thrown two more showers, one with family in NY & one with friends in Chicago. 

We have the best friends & family on the planet.

We are so thankful for all of the amazing people in our lives.

31 Weeks

It's been awhile! 

Vacation & unpacking after the move has taken up all of my time. 

But here is my 31 week bumpdate!

(although I am now 32 weeks) ((Time, SLOW DOWN?!))

How far along? 31 weeks & 4 days

Total weight gain: 30 lbs

Maternity clothes? It has been too hot for anything but athletic shorts & tank tops! But I have been using my be band when we go out somewhere

Stretch marks? I've noticed a few stretch marks on my boobs, but nothing anywhere else so far

Sleep: Great

Food cravings: I am craving anything sweet SALTY now. 

Anything making you queasy or sick: mushrooms still do not sound appetizing

Miss anything? Cold beer, drinking tons of iced coffee & turkey sandwiches (I could eat one every day) 

Gender: Our last ultrasound confirmed again that she is still a she

Labor signs: A few Braxton Hicks contractions here and there

Have you started to show? Should I just take this question off of here from now on? 

Symptoms: lower back pain, braxton hicks contractions, swollen feet, ankles and fingers, peeing 10x a day, sleepiness is back in town, NESTING ;)

Belly Button in or out? it is on the verge of popping out any day now

Wedding rings on or off? off, unfortunately the summer heat has made me put them in my jewelry box until it cools down

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! I have been in such a great mood lately and I am so thankful

Best Moment this week?  Seeing baby at our last ultrasound

Looking forward to anything? Starting the nursery! I feel so behind on this task.
